System Instructions

IMG_V100_CCO.jpg

The V100 accommodates up to two wireless headsets on one base station. The original V100 headset is registered and paired at the factory. However if you wish to add a second headset, you must register/pair it with the V100 before use. Make sure that the battery is properly installed. Place the headset into the base station and charge it for at least five minutes. Remove the headset from the base station. Press and hold the PAIR button until the MUTE indicator turns ON (about four seconds). Release the PAIR button. Return the headset to the base station until registration is complete (about 30 seconds). The MUTE indicator will turn OFF. To verify that registration is successful, press the headset ON/OFF button and dial as you normally would. If registration is not successful, the headset ON/OFF button flashes 2 times, every 5 seconds. Repeat the above process. If still not successful, remove the headset from the base station and reset the system by pressing ON/OFF on the headset. Unplug power from the base station, wait 15 seconds, and plug the power back in.

Yes. You can pair up to two headsets to a single base station. You must register each new headset with the base station before use. Note - you must de-register a headset from its original base station before you can register it to a different base station. To help identify the headsets, the first registered headset (primary user) has a blue ON/OFF light. The second registered headset (secondary user) has an orange ON/OFF light. On unregistered headsets, half of the ON/OFF light is blue and the other half is orange.

1. Start with the headset powered off.

2. Hold down the headset’s multi-function button (MFB) until the lights alternate red and blue or you hear the audio prompts “Power On” and then “Discovering.” IMPORTANT: Wait for both audio prompts or the alternating blue and red lights. This may take up to 10 seconds. Then release the MFB.

3. Put your cellular phone into Bluetooth Search/Scan Mode per the manufacturer’s instructions.

4. Wait for the phone to discover your headset. This could take up to 2 minutes. Once the phone discovers the headset, VXi B250-XT+ will appear in your phone’s device list. Choose the device and select “Pair” on the phone. Enter a pass code of “0000” if instructed. Once pairing is complete the alternating lights will stop flashing. MULTIPLE DEVICE PAIRING

Once all devices are paired, multipoint connection can be made by turning  off the headset and all devices it’s paired with. Turn the two devices you want to connect to back on and then turn on the headset. The headset will connect to the devices in order of pairing. For instance, if device A, B and C were paired in that order, connection will be established to  A first. If  A is not available (turned off, out of range), the headset will connect to B, etc.

Please make sure that you have already placed the headset on the charger for at least 12 full, uninterrupted hours before proceeding.  This is for the first time pairing.

The first step in the Pairing process is to make sure the headset is powered off. There will be no flashing lights on the headset.

To power off, press and hold the Multi-Function button until you hear two descending tones in the receiver. There should be no flashing lights on the headset. Monitor the headset for at least ten seconds to ensure that there are no lights flashing.

Next, place the headset in Pairing Mode. Press and hold in the Multi-Function button until you hear a total of 6 ascending tones (two ascending tones, followed by four more additional tones). The Multi-Function button should now be flashing Alternating Red and Blue. The headset is now in Pairing Mode.

Next, go to the Bluetooth feature on your cell phone and select Search for Device or Add New Device to begin searching for the headset. When Bluetooth devices are discovered, your cell phone should show available devices.

Select the item labeled as the VXi B250-XT headset you are pairing to this phone and press the selection button on your cell phone to pair the B250-XT headset to your cell phone.

You may be prompted to enter in a “Pass Key Code” on your phone, which is 0000. Enter this code and you should see an indication that the Bluetooth has identified the Headset and connected to it. If there is a prompt to connect to the Headset, press Yes.

Once connected, the lights on the headset will now turn to a single flashing blue light, which flashes every second or so.

You are now ready to make or take a call.
