Mike joined VXi in 2008 with over 30 years of professional management experience, including 12 years of headset industry experience. Previously, Mike was the Senior Vice President of Sales at Portable Sound Labs, a consumer audio electronics start-up company, where he established a retail channel for the firm. Prior to that, Mike held various senior positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GN Netcom US, the second largest headset manufacturer in the world, where he was responsible for driving the company’s growth. He attended Suffolk University and is currently a candidate for a Masters of Management from Cambridge College.
Tom joined VXi in 2007 with more than 30 years of finance and operations experience. Tom spent the first 14 years of his career in middle market commercial lending at Indian Head Bank, Bank of Boston and Fleet Bank. For the next 15 years, he worked in operations and finance leadership roles in growth companies. Tom brings financial structure to VXi’s decision-making process by integrating the sales and operations agendas, enabling VXi to meet its customer expectations in a profitable manner. Tom is a graduate of Babson College with a B.S. degree in Finance.
Phil has over 20 years of operational management experience with a focus on high technology manufacturing. Prior to joining VXi, Phil spent 11 years with GN Netcom US as Operations and Plant Manager, providing overall supervision of the US manufacturing, aftermarket service/repair operations and regional fulfillment. He was part of the team that managed mergers, acquisitions and the transition of manufacturing from the US and UK into a GN–built manufacturing facility in China. Before that, Phil was owner of Visual Computers, providing sales and repair services of X-display terminals. For 12 years previous, Phil was Director of Operations at Visual Technology, a manufacturer of computer terminals. Phil is a graduate of Century University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
Brian has more than 28 years of engineering and development experience in the telecom industry. Most recently, Brian was the Engineering Manager at Gentex Electro-Acoustics Corp., where he was responsible for the development of the company's audio communication systems—including designing noise-canceling microphones for extreme environments. Prior to that, he was Director of Hardware Engineering at Excel Switching, where he helped grow the engineering capabilities, infrastructures and processes of the company, resulting in Excel's purchase by Lucent in 2000. Brian also contributed to the engineering teams at Lightscan, a developer of fiber optic test equipment for the telecom market, Wilcom Products and Nortel. Brian is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a M.S degree in Electronic Engineering. He also holds a B.S degree
from Queens University of Belfast.
Todd joined VXi in 2015, bringing with him more than 20 years of marketing experience. Prior to VXi, Todd spent 3 years at global medical products company Covidien, where he led several high-profile strategic marketing initiatives. Prior to Covidien, Todd spent 15 years at consumer electronics company Bose Corporation, where he held a variety of marketing roles of increasing responsibility. He was critical in driving growth through direct-to-consumer advertising, both in the US and abroad. He spent his last 3 years at Bose leading marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Todd holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Marketing from Boston College, where he was captain of the wrestling team, and an MBA in Global Marketing from Boston University.
Janis joined VXi in 2009 with over 20 years of professional sales and sales management experience with technology companies. Most recently, Janis was the Senior Director of Sales for ClearOne, Inc. where she developed and began implementation of the North American sales plan to increase market share of ClearOne’s portfolio of tabletop audio conferencing products. Prior to that, she was the Director of Channel Sales for GN Netcom US. During her 12 years at GN, she held various management positions including National Sales Manager. Janis built her headset expertise by creating and executing sales and channel growth and market penetration in the US, Canada and Latin America. Before joining GN, she owned and managed a manufacturer’s rep firm for communication products. Janis is a graduate of North Adams State College with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts.
