VXI Accomplishments: Highlights

 

1989

  • VXI was founded. Mission: Development of professional telephone headsets for the call center marketplace.
  • First product offering: The Gold Series telephone headset system. This product line was lightweight, comfortable, with superior sound quality and rugged durability to withstand the strenuous use incurred in call center applications.

1991

  • Tomen Telecom Corporation, one of Japan's largest industrials, began representing VXI in Asian markets. This successful relationship continues today.

1993

  • VXI and MCI Direct forged a strong relationship, lending credibility to VXI and the Gold Series product line.
  • VXI began supplying Gold Series Headset to David Clark Company who has supplied thousands of these units to the NASA ground support personnel.

1994

  • VXI expanded its product line with the addition of the industry's first telephone line-powered amplifier that worked with electronic telephones without batteries or AC power, an exclusive VXI technology.

1995

  • VXI entered the speech recognition market with an OEM agreement with Dragon Systems.

1996

  • A new evolution of a telephone line-powered amplifier for all phones was introduced, offering wider compatibility while still operating without batteries.

1997

  • The 'Parrott' line of Speech Recognition computer headsets was introduced. 'Parrott' sets the industry standard for Speech Recognition.
  • VXI was first to market with a computer/telephone switch amplifier with high isolation between phone and computer with tailored voice response for each application. (Originally 'Parrott 60V', now 'TalkPro Switch').
  • Began supplying Home Shopping Network contact centers with TuffSet headset systems. HSN is still an active VXI customer.

1998

  • Introduced Translator™ technology for speech recognition computer headsets with voice frequency shaping and increased dynamic range. Problems with sound card compatibility are eliminated.
  • Awards won:
    • 'Best of ICCM Show' by Call Center News for Computer/Telephone Switch (Parrott 60v).
    • Parrott 60v Computer/Telephone switch awarded 'Product of the Year' By C@ll Center Solutions Magazine.
    • Parrott Translator awarded 'Product of the Year' by CTI Magazine.

1999

  • Established relationship with Net2Phone introducing our VoIP product line.
  • Enhanced computer telephony switch (60v) performance with 'keep alive' feature enabling rapid speech recognition response when alternating between computer and telephone. VXI exclusive.
  • Continued rapid growth into the speech recognition market with a significant OEM agreement with Corel Canada.
  • Introduction of iParrott headset with unique Mac connectivity and full Translator performance.
  • Awards won:
    • 'Product of the Year' award from Internet Telephony, Parrott 60V Computer/Telephone Switch.
    • Parrott Headsets voted 'Best Performing' by readers of Speech Technology Magazine.

2000

  • Introduced fourth generation enhanced contact center headset product line, branded TuffSet.
  • Acquired assets of Voice It Corporation, manufacturer of digital recording products.
  • Introduced full line of Parrott USB headset products for computer marketplace.
  • Cisco became Strategic Alliance Partner, with VXI supplying headset solutions for VoIP applications.

2001

  • VXI introduced the new TuffSet Everon amplifier with new technology components that tripled battery life and was the first to work directly with all major competitors' headsets.

2002

  • Introduced Parrott TalkPro family of computer headsets based on the highly successful Parrott Speech Recognition products.
  • Shipped first significant quantities of the Sahara USB handset for the VoIP Market.

2003

  • VXI Introduced TuffSet Powerline, a battery free amplifier which builds on the VXI Blazer's success.
  • VXI's TuffSet Everon received TMC Labs Innovation Award in Customer Interaction Solutions® Magazine.

2004

  • VXI Introduced new Passport™ Headset family providing compatibility with all major headset manufacturer's systems.

2005

  • VXI Introduced first Bluetooth® technology wireless headset, the VXI BlueParrott B100 for home offices.
  • VXI Passport headsets recieved CRM Excellence Award from Customer Interaction Solutions® Magazine.

2006

  • VXI's BlueParrott Roadwarrior B150 for truck drivers introduced and available at leading Truck Stops.
